About this deal

You need power for your phone: The 3,000mAh battery inside is plenty to keep your Apple Watch going, but that isn't enough power to get you even halfway charged on an iPhone 15, and even less on bigger phones. The Anker Nano is only 5,000mAh, but that doesn't mean it can fully charge a 5,000mAh phone battery like you'll find in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Power banks are about 60-70% efficient, depending on the phone's technology, so this power bank is good for charging an iPhone 15 to nearly full, but that big Ultra will only get about 65% charge. In fact, our testing confirms what battery makers usually claim. A battery maker will claim between 60% and 70% efficiency, so that 10,000mAh battery will only give your phone around 6,000mAh of extra battery charge, at the least. In practice we find around 65% efficiency, though occasionally we can do even better. Using the Anker Prime power bank, we were also able to test the charging speed claims of other power banks, as the Anker Prime will report charging speed in wattage. Charging Speed:MagSafe chargers can provide up to 15W of power to the iPhone series, significantly faster than most Qi wireless chargers, which typically deliver around 5W to 7.5W. For example, Anker 737 MagGo Charger (3-in-1 Station)can charge your iPhone 14 Pro Max to 50% in just 47 minutes.

Ports: Many of these chargers will come with extra ports, so you can charge other devices. Sometimes the ports are so you can charge the bank itself though, so keep this in mind. How We Selected

Why should you get a MagSafe battery pack?

if you want ultra-charging power, consider the Benks MagClap StandGo Power Bank (also reviewed above) with its powerful 10000mAh battery.

The most important thing to do is to match the battery’s output to your phone’s input. For example, if you have an iPhone, be sure the battery has its own Lightning connector or supports USB-A-to-Lightning or USB-C-to-Lightning cables. Compatibility: MagSafe is specifically tailored for Apple devices, including iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods, while Qi wireless charging is a universal standard adopted by various brands.Step up from the budget power banks to the mighty Juice Powerbank Max and you get a much more capable mobile charger, with a 20,000mAh capacity and a 20W USB PD output over USB-C. We measured the USB-A output at nearly 15W in our tests, which recharged our smartphone by 18% in 15 minutes. With USB-C, that output rose to just over 19W, which was good for a 22% recharge in 15 minutes. That’s not bad at all for an affordable power bank, and we also found it usable for charging tablets and even a Chromebook laptop, albeit at a slower-than-usual speed. However, we prefer the equally capacious Benks MagClap StandGo Power Bank that we tested, which is lighter, smaller and features multiple USB ports.

The QiSa Solar Charger can use the sun to recharge itself, supports both wired and wireless charging, and even has a built-in flashlight. Best of all, it offers a massive 38,800mAh capacity. Who It's For Instead of taking three or four hours to recharge, with its 100W USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 inputs, in our tests this got from zero to 100% in 50 minutes, or to 80% in 45 mins. It can charge a MagSafe iPhone at 7.5W and an Apple Watch at 5W, and has a large array of OLED percentage displays. With an array of outputs, it can charge up to six devices at the same time.We love that the Anker 622 comes with its own built-in fold-out stand, which with MagSafe’s pulling power will hold your iPhone securely in either portrait/vertical or landscape/horizontal mode. The Belkin BoostCharge 5K, reviewed above, has a tougher metal pull-out stand, and also offer another 10% of charge on the better-looking Anker 622.

You don't need all those extras: The Anker Prime power bank is pricey, and if you don't care about monitoring charge Wattage or days of battery life, find another option. Anker batteries also look great and are built with high quality parts. The display on our best battery for power users is bright and sharp OLED display, totally unnecessary for a power bank, but that's what makes Anker the best. It far exceeds our expectations of what's necessary to make power banks that are great. You need fast power: This is a very slow charger, whether wired or wireless, so it's better for casual charging while you sip your water and read a book. Everybody on our gift list who got a new iPhone is going to get an Anker Nano Power Bank (22.5W) this year. This cute little charger is perfectly sized to sit beneath your favorite smartphone, plugged into the USB-C port with a little plug that opens out or hides away for a sleek look. The Anker battery charges wirelessly at 7.5W–faster than Apple’s 5W charge, although the Apple battery can use the wireless Qi and cabled USB-C power simultaneously to speed charging at up to 15W. The Newdery Battery Case scored 96% in our test, showing that it will supply very close to a 100% recharge—better than any MagSafe power bank that we have tested so far. The use of USB-C for the single input/output port is a little weird given the target market, and you’ll need a fast USB-C charger and a USB-C to Lightning cable to make the most of the device. What’s more, the wired charging isn’t super-speedy; our Android test smartphone only recovered by 11% from a 15-minute charge. But if you’re an iPhone user looking for a light and convenient portable charger, the Anker 622 is almost perfect for the role. MagSafe chargers do more than wirelessly charge your phone. They can provide utility, versatility, and even help you declutter your workspace. The best MagSafe Chargers often have the ability to charge multiple devices at once. This is great for someone who has an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. Instead of taking up three wall or surge protector outlets, you can conveniently charge all three devices with a single MagSafe charging stand. This power bank is built for the iPhone 15 family—with its neat integrated USB-C cable—but it works as well as any other wireless power bank tested here with the other MagSafe iPhones.
