About this deal

Cada historia y mito recolectado está cuidado al más mínimo detalle, con unas preciosas ilustraciones a todo color y una estética muy atrayente para el lector.

There was something that really needled at me while I was reading that I don’t remember from high school. I was fortunate to have grown up in a time when bookshelf sets of stories were the norm in family homes. This book has been on the required reading list of so many schools that nearly everyone has seen it, owned it, and opened it at least twice. Edith Hamilton (1868-1963) was born of American parents in Dresden, Germany, and grew up in Indiana.Hamilton traveled to Greece in 1957 to be made an honorary citizen of Athens and to see a performance in front of the Acropolis of one of her translations of Greek plays.

Anyways, mythology is always something I was interested in and loved, it's in so much of our everyday life still in the stories we tell and our history. And she made the claim in one of the intros that the Greeks' mythology was different from the others, because reasons. It's not just the over-representation of winged steeds, there's also way too much use of the threatening dark thundercloud effect, and the human figures are invariably depicted as shrieking heavenward as they shake their evidently double-jointed limbs in panic.and fits the fairytale mode with how Psyche finds a perfect love with Cupid but after losing him is put through a series of trials to be reunited with Cupid, and live happily ever after. This also can serve as a good reference text when approaching Greek Myths, but still by itself it's quite engaging. You got to be kidding, I remember the basics and it has already helped in my classic reads when these figures show up and if my memory fails, I can look here as a reference. It looks really cool and considering the other reviews my book wasn’t damaged at all and arrived it excellent shape! May I dream a most splendid dream in which my lips meet those of the blessed Aphrodite herself, only to awaken and find, in horror, that I am merely tongue-wrestling the three heads of Cerberus!
