About this deal

I felt the tension and the dread as Antonio's fate was sealed sooner than he thought when Manuel D'Sousa's final moment had finally come. begins So Vast the Prison, the double-threaded story of one woman’s existence set against the unforgiving history of her country. Gwen faces ever greater danger from the men who hunt her in this action-packed, high-stakes YA sequel to The Cruelty, by Scott Bergstrom. No matter the situation Daniela finds herself in, she cannot deny the chemistry between her and Antonio, the more she fights it, the more her body craves the beast. Antonio and Manuel have signed a contract in blood to acquire Quinta Rosa do Vale, D'Sousa's valuable vineyards, and to marry his only daughter, Daniela D'Sousa.

The Years is a personal narrative from Annie Ernaux of the period 1941 to 2006 told through the lens of memory, impressions past and present—even projections into the future—photos, books, songs, radio, television and decades of advertising, headlines, contrasted with intimate conflicts and writing notes from six decades of diaries. I don’t honestly believe he could deal with having her as a partner or anything near an equal; he wants to shield her from the world. She's also loyal and dutiful, will go into the flames for someone she loves, and will do everything in her power to protect them. He’s rigid and inflexible; even when he thinks he’s giving an inch, he’s not moving in the slightest. Just when you think things have cooled off and you have a moment to breathe, you're back up on your guard and at the edge of your seat.

Antonio Huntsman is the clear winner cause he's the chosen one by Daniela D'Sousa's father on his deathbed. When one small community is overrun, Lauren Olamina, an 18-year-old black woman with the hereditary trait of "hyperempathy"—which causes her to feel others’ pain as her own—sets off on foot along the dangerous coastal highways, moving north into the unknown. This story had me on edge and the seat of my pants the entire holy cow I am still reeling from it and my heart's pounding.Ellmann wrote: "Jelinek gives us a startling glimpse here of what women are, as well as answering Freud's question, 'What do women want?
